What a great night last night at Fazakerleys Bar. First off I have to thank everyone who came along and made it such an enjoyable night, especially those of you who brought the food, what a spread was put on.
Congratulations to 'The Pointless Chickens' on winning the quiz and also coming first in the mini games. I am sure the wine will go down well over Christmas!
I certainly was not expecting the tables to be turned on me...the 'Mastermind' round was a big shock, especially as I got ALL of the Star Wars questions wrong apart from one. I will have my revenge...you have been warned :-)
Thank you again to all of you that researched a Star Wars question (No matter how obscure) and thanks to Eric, well, I say thanks ;-) ...for organising the torture of myself.
The envelope draw raffle was won again by Carolyn, but unfortunately she let Vince pick the envelope and he's not as lucky as his wife. He still managed to win a Raki but the main prize fund has rolled over. It should be up to around 60 euros next Friday Night. A nice little bonus for the New Year.
As discussed last night, starting in the New Year there will be a small charge for the quiz at Fazakerleys of 50c per person. After 6 months the money raised will be sent off to a charity agreed by the quiz members, which this time is going to be Cancer Research UK. There will be a slight change of format to the quiz also, I will post more news nearer the time.
Thankyou all...Merry Christmas and see you next Friday @9pm in Fazakerleys Bar!
